Those Overseas Wannabe Scam Artists

By Ontario Taripre$

Have you ever gotten an email from some guy saying he's entitled to a fortune and he needs a way to get it, or an email stating they're a company that needs and American Representative to accept payments for them? Yep, I used to love those emails; why? I'll run it down to you!

My first interaction with these kinds of people was an email from some cat named Alfred Vogts! He was supposedly hiring for his company "Portfolio Artworks, Inc", he needed a US Rep to accept payments for him, I keep 10% and send him the rest through Western Union. Not a problem, but for me to keep 10%, the check would have to made out to me and deposited into my account! Again, not a problem, though, how would I know if the check is any good? The funny part about it is, I filled out an application and everything!!

RED FLAGS: First of all, what banks can't process foreign transactions? Also, with all of the money exchange sites like Paypal, Revolution Money Exchange, etc, why do you need me to accept payments for you? Then I have to send it Western Union, OK?!

Anyway, I played along and let him, or whoever, send me the checks! I had an old savings account that I wasn't using so I used that. Low and behold, the first check of $3500 cleared! Think I sent him some money, of course not! By time the check cleared he already thought it hadn't, even though he kept sending me emails! This dude sent me another check that cleared; still he got nothing!

So I started soliciting the other emails. When the checks stopped clearing, I had a few send it to me through Paypal, n they did it, WOW! That didn't always clear either, come to find out they were using people's credit card information!

Banks started cracking down real heavy on this, but I just told them I worked from home and gave them these guys information. After awhile, I had over $10,000 frozen at two different banks, so it was cool at first, then I had to quit!

Out of all the people these guys had scammed, I was one that had an idea to get back at them. Not saying that two wrongs make a right, just felt I can teach them a lesson and make a few bucks at the same time!
